Acid Base Storage Cabinets

Acid-base cabinets are storage cabinets consisting of shelves whose contact surfaces are covered with polypropylene, designed not to be affected by the corrosive effects of corrosive chemicals.

Optionally, under-counter or full-size cabinets can be produced as consisting of two sections, one for acids and one for bases. Cabinet bodies and covers are manufactured from medium density fiberboard (Medium Density Fiberboard) with low formaldehyde emission.

Chemical vapors and bad odors are expelled thanks to the ventilation gaps behind the shelves and the quiet-running fan with a flame-retardant PVC outer surface with a polypropylene fan positioned on the cabinet (it is not ex proof, an optional expoof fan can be added).

Depending on the need, cabinets consisting of separate covers and ventilation channels can be manufactured so that both acids and bases can be stored in a single cabinet.

*The number of shelves can be optionally increased according to need.

** Fan capacities can be optionally added as duct type 1050 m3 / hour, 1350 m3 / hour, 2300 m3 / hour. ATEX certified Exproof fan can be added.

An active carbon filter is offered optionally for models with fans. In addition, models with fans can be offered without fans to our customers who have central system ventilation.

Acid base storage cabinets are special cabinets designed for the safe storage of acids, bases and other chemicals in laboratories. General features of these cabinets are stated below:

1. Chemical Resistance: Acid base storage cabinets are generally made of chemical resistant materials. They must be particularly resistant to acids and bases. Stainless steel, polyethylene or laminate materials are frequently preferred materials.
2. ventilation: There should be a good ventilation system in the cabinets. This allows the gases and vapors accumulated inside to be expelled and prevents the spread of chemicals to the outside environment.
3. Adjustment Features: Shelf heights in the cabinet should generally be adjustable. This allows the storage of chemical containers and packaging of different sizes.
4. sealing: Cabinets must be leak-proof. This prevents the chemicals inside from leaking out or the outside substances from getting inside.
5. Fire Resistance: Some acid base storage cabinets may have fire resistant properties. This ensures that the chemicals inside the cabinet will not be affected by or spread the fire.
6. Security Locks: Cabinets are generally lockable. This prevents unauthorized access and ensures safe storage of chemicals inside the cabinet.
7. Labeling and Coloring: Cabinets may often be equipped with labels indicating their contents. Additionally, different color codes can be used for acids and bases, making it easy to identify substances in the cabinet.
8. Capacity and Size: The capacity and size of the cabinets should suit the needs and available space of the laboratory. While larger capacity cabinets are preferred in larger laboratories, more compact models can be preferred in small laboratories.

These features are typical of acid-base storage cabinets and may vary depending on the needs of the laboratory. However, it is important to provide such features for safe storage and control of chemicals.
