FASTER SafeFAST Elite 315 Class III Microbiological Safety Cabinet
Faster Air Class 3 Microbiological Safety Cabinets Tezgen Laboratory
Faster SafeFAST Elite class III provide full operator protection as they are suitable for working with up to hazard group 4 pathogens. It is also designed to provide maximum protection to laboratory personnel, the public and the environment as all hazardous materials are contained in a fully enclosed, ventilated cabinet when installed correctly in the appropriate BL3 or BL4 laboratory.
Both the transfer warehouse and workroom volumes operate with negative pressure to the surrounding environment, with exhaust air ventilated through a dual H 14 HEPA/ULPA filter system. The work chamber is flushed with Class ISO 3 laminar flow, which prevents cross-contamination of product.
Ergonomic Design: Angled, beveled (7°) front-layer safety glass provides optimum visibility of all objects placed in the interior work area.
True Laminar Airflow: Front screen tilted 7° and rear sidewall to deliver airflow in a unidirectional manner. As a result, the front and rear panels are parallel to each other and there is a real presence of Laminar AirFlow in the entire work area.
Locking system: The inner and outer doors of the transfer warehouse are synchronized thanks to the locking system, which allows the outer door to be opened only when the inner door is closed, in order to prevent contamination.
ECS® Eco Control System: The new ECS® microprocessor uses the latest innovative methods for the integrated management of all key functions of ventilation and filtration – self-regulating all major filtration and ventilation system components – compensating for reduced pressure drops and restoring power balance. Combining the use of AC motorized blowers and certified low pressure drop filters, the new ECS® control system optimizes power consumption, reducing CO2 emissions into the environment.
Anti-Bacterial Coating: Exclusive Dupont™ ALESTA® anti-bacterial “Ag+ cation-based solution” can prevent long-term surface growth by preventing microbial contamination of surfaces.
Quiet Operation: The TNT plenum, the structures of the electric motors of the fans installed in the anti-vibration mounts, and the software itself designed to ensure optimum air handling characteristics, guarantee the quiet operation of this silent safety cabinet, recorded well below sound pressure levels. Parameters specified in the current European Standard for Microbiological Safety Cabinets EN:12469.
High Level of Illumination: Safety glass side windows with ideal positioning and dimensioning of the light system provide the highest level of brightness to the work area.
Foot Pedal: A foot pedal is supplied as standard to unlock the inner door of the chamber without removing your hands from the gloves.
Automatic safety service connections for gas and vacuum and one (for size 312) or two (for size 315 and 318) electrical outlet(s) are included as standard on each size model.

What is a microbiological safety cabinet?
A microbiological safety cabinet is a safety device used by researchers, technicians or other personnel working in laboratory environments to protect themselves and the environment while working with microorganisms. They are generally used during biological research, microbiological experiments, pathogen examinations and similar studies.
Microbiological safety cabinets protect the employee against the dangers that may be caused by microorganisms and also provide protection against external influences in the environment. These tribes have special filtration systems for cleaning and circulation of air. They usually have an aspiration system and keep the laboratory environment sterile by pumping out internal air.
Microbiological safety cabinets can be classified according to different classes and operating principles. They are classified according to different biosafety levels, for example classes 1, 2 and 3. When using this booth, workers often also wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), helping to minimize potential risks.
Microbiological safety cabinet classes are generally used during microbiological studies in laboratory environments. These classes are determined by different biosafety levels and provide different degrees of protection for various microbiological studies. Here are some areas where microbiological safety cabinet classes are commonly used:
- Biosafety Laboratories (BSL):
- BSL-1: Generally used in laboratories working with low-hazard microorganisms. These types of laboratories are generally for learning and educational purposes.
- BSL-2: Used in laboratories working with moderately hazardous pathogens. For example, it is used for studies such as medical research, bacteriological studies.
- BSL-3: Used in laboratories working with highly hazardous pathogens. For example, it is used to investigate disease agents such as tuberculosis and SARS.
- BSL-4: Used in laboratories working with the highest levels of hazardous pathogens. For example, it is used to research very dangerous viruses such as Ebola and Marburg.
- Medical Laboratories: Used for microbiological diagnosis and research in hospitals, clinics or research centers.
- Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Industry: Microbiological safety cabinets are used in areas such as drug development, biological product production and drug testing.
- Food Industry: It is used for studies such as food safety tests, microbiological analyzes and sterilization processes of food products.
- Veterinary Laboratories: Used for microbiological research and diagnostics related to animal health.
The use of these classes may vary depending on the nature of the microbiological work of a particular laboratory or facility, the hazard level, and local regulations.
