A fire-resistant gas cylinder storage cabinet is made of durable materials and designed especially for the safe storage of hazardous or flammable gases. These cabinets minimise the risk of gas cylinders exploding or leaking during a fire. Their general features are:
- Fire-resistant materials: the cabinets are usually made of durable materials that withstand high temperatures, such as steel.
- Fire-retardant coating: the interior and exterior surfaces have special coatings that control the internal temperature of the cabinet during a fire.
- Ventilation system: they can be equipped with ventilation systems against possible leaks from gas cylinders (optional).
- Safety locks: special locking systems are available to prevent access by unauthorised persons and ensure safety.
- Warning signs: warning signs indicating that hazardous substances are stored, and the precautions to be taken against fire hazards, are marked on the cabinet.
