IDI brand was founded in 1994 in Hong Kong. In Chinese, “JIDI” (极地) symbolizes the “extreme point” or the “ultimate frontier” — a place where conditions are most challenging and performance is truly tested. We chose this name to reflect our philosophy:

To build centrifuges that perform under pressure, in the most demanding environments, and support the frontier of scientific discovery.From the start, JIDI focused solely on centrifuges — mastering the technology down to every rotor, motor, and cooling system. We didn’t want to do everything; we wanted to do one thing with excellence. This dedication led to innovations such as automatic rotor recognition, ultra-fast precooling, and smart balancing systems — features now trusted by laboratories, hospitals, and biotech companies around the world.
